About the studio
A compact recording studio in Oud-West built around playing together and listening carefully.
Why we chose this layout
Mislikervyraxi opened in 2018 with one aim: record bands and singers at the same time without anyone disappearing into a dark corner. The live room looks straight into the control room; in the booth you mostly hear yourself.
We work with resident engineers. Whoever writes your quote also sets microphones and delivers files. No rotating freelancers per session.
The rooms
Live room, 32 m²
Combos up to 6 players, drum riser, absorption and diffusion for an even room sound. Everyone gets an individual headphone mix.
Two iso booths
For vocals, rap, voice-over, and audiobooks. Double-sealed door; engineer visible through glass.
Control room
Hybrid console, nearfield monitors, and a rack with 16 analogue inputs. What you hear while tracking is a reference, not the final mix.
Team
Maarten Jansen coordinates scheduling and client contact. Fleur Bakker leads vocal and band sessions; Noor van der Meer handles mixing and mastering. Everyone is available during office hours Mon–Fri 09:30–18:30, Sat 10:00–16:00 for questions on active projects.

Address and access
Overtoom 141, 1054 HG Amsterdam (Oud-West). Tram 1 and 13 stop Overtoom, about a three-minute walk. Bus 15 stops on Haarlemmerweg; roughly seven minutes from there. Bike racks and shared bikes on the street.
Visitors using a walker or wheelchair: tell us ahead via contact so we reserve the most suitable room. Accessibility notes are also in our accessibility statement.
How we work
Every session gets a written quote. Deposit 35 %; free rescheduling until 5 days before the date. We store files for 18 months.
